IAW AR 215-1, para. 8-19 (2) An appropriate number of tee times will be reserved for AD military. The below Heidelberg Golf Club policy insures this is accomplished:
The Tee Time Process
As with all authorized user's of the Heidelberg Golf Club, tee times can be reserved via our online tee time reservation system. Patrons at their request are issued login credentials and explained how the system works. Patrons may also call the pro shop and have a tee time assigned. Due to our light weekday traffic, tee times are not necessary to reserve and we accept mostly walk up play. However, patrons may reserve weekday tee times either in person, on the phone or via the internet using their login credentials.
Weekend and holiday (To include Federal and Training holidays) tee times are assigned through the use of a lottery. Up to one week prior to the tee day, patrons can apply for tee time slots. The lottery process is run for a Saturday (or Friday holiday) on the Tuesday prior and for a Sunday (or a Monday holiday) on the Wednesday prior to the tee day. The internet based tee time reservation system randomly assigns tee times and an email is sent to all tee time reservation registered patrons. Patrons can also call the pro shop for information on assignments or go to the tee time reservation system and review the tee sheet in question.
MILITARY PRIORITY
Presently the AD military priority is established by restricting the first two tee slots to active duty only, for the following hours: 0800, 1000, 1100 and 1200, (This is a total of 8 tee times or 32 players). When the lottery process is run only Active Duty players will be assigned tee times in these slots, therefore insuring their priority. Active Duty military also have equal consideration for all other tee slots during the random lottery process. The patrons Active Duty status is linked to their login credentials during the registration process. (These particular hour groups and number of restricted times is subject to change)
